Dr. Wes McCann is an accomplished optometrist, educator, and entrepreneur with an impressive academic and professional record. After earning three Honours Bachelor of Science degrees, an accelerated MBA, and a Doctorate of Optometry from Western University and Nova Southeastern University, he has built a career defined by excellence and leadership in the optometry field.

Dr. McCann currently owns twelve practices throughout Southwestern Ontario, positioning him as a prominent business leader in the region. His expertise has also made him a sought-after speaker and faculty member at high-profile events such as the Canadian Dry Eye Summit, The Myopia Meeting, and the Myopia Summit, among others. Over the years, he has lectured at hundreds of conferences and events, covering topics that span contact lenses, ocular disease, dry eye disease, pharmaceuticals, and medical equipment.

In addition to his clinical and educational contributions, Dr. McCann serves as a key opinion leader and consultant for renowned companies including Johnson & Johnson, Bausch & Lomb’s pharmaceutical division, Labtician, Thea, Oculus, Clarion, Zeiss, Otto, Luminus, Neurolens, Nikon, and Sun Pharma. His commitment to advancing the field is further demonstrated through his past role teaching clinical externs at the Waterloo School of Optometry and his leadership positions on the Board of Directors for both the Ontario Association of Optometrists (2016–2018) and Eye Recommend, as well as his directorship with the College of Optometrists of Ontario. His scholarly work is widely recognized, with numerous publications in respected journals such as the Review of Optometry and the Review of Myopia Management.

Dr. McCann’s contributions have not gone unnoticed. In 2017, he received the Top 20 Under 40 Award in London, Ontario, honoring his business achievements and community involvement. More recently, in 2024, he was awarded the Contact Lens Institute Award for Contact Lens Culture, acknowledging his significant impact in fostering patient-centered care and driving business success within the contact lens industry.

Shane joined Doctors Vision Group in 2025, bringing with him an impressive blend of financial expertise and advanced data analytics. A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with a Master’s Degree in Data Science, Shane also holds an Honours Degree in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University, where he distinguished himself both academically and athletically as a member of the Varsity Rugby team.

Before joining Doctors Vision Group, Shane excelled in leadership roles within high-growth private sector organizations and made significant contributions to the public healthcare system in Ontario. His diverse experience equips him with a strategic perspective that drives operational excellence and innovation.

Originally from Lucan, Ontario, Shane now resides in Kilworth with his wife and two children. He is deeply committed to leveraging his skills to empower our healthcare professionals, ensuring they can deliver the highest standard of care to their patients. Outside of work and family life, Shane is an avid golfer and hockey enthusiast.

Gabe is a professional whose journey began with an Engineering degree from Western University. He launched his career in the engineering industry, where he developed a strong foundation in technical problem-solving and innovative thinking. Recognizing a growing passion for technology, he made a strategic transition into IT, merging his engineering insight with modern digital solutions.

Today, Gabe plays a pivotal role at Doctors Vision Group, where his extensive technical expertise is key to supporting our network of optometric offices and esthetic clinics across SW Ontario. In addition to overseeing the overall technology infrastructure, he is responsible for equipment management at every office. His ability to integrate advanced technology and maintain critical equipment ensures that our operations run smoothly and that our community receives the highest quality care. Gabe’s diverse background not only fortifies our technical capabilities but also underpins our commitment to excellence in patient services.

Mical is an accomplished Vendor Relations and Accounting Manager with a distinguished 22-year career in the financial services sector in San Diego. Armed with a BA from the University of Western Ontario, she brought a wealth of experience back to London in 2019, where she currently applies her expertise at Doctors Vision Group. Mical is dedicated to optimizing vendor relationships and enhancing financial operations, contributing significantly to the organization’s success.

Steve is a seasoned professional whose career has spanned over 40 years in the optical industry. He has built a career focused on eyewear, retail operations, and leadership. Steve began his journey as a Frame Consultant spending a decade developing expertise in product selection and sales. He then transitioned into an upper management role with a retail optical chain, where he dedicated 25 years to overseeing operations, training, and customer service excellence. For the past five years, Steve has served as the Regional Optical Manager for Doctors Vision Group leveraging his knowledge to drive growth and performance across multiple locations. As a licensed optician, Steve brings a deep understanding of both the technical and business aspects of the industry, ensuring the highest standards of care and service.

Andrea is a dedicated and highly organized Executive Assistant to Dr. Wes McCann, where she plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities. With a keen eye for detail and an unwavering drive, Andrea excels in managing schedules, coordinating travel, and supporting the needs of Dr. McCann and his team. Her commitment to excellence and her ability to prioritize tasks effectively contribute significantly to the overall success of the office.

Before her tenure as an Executive Assistant, Andrea spent 18 years as a self-employed professional, skillfully balancing her career aspirations with the responsibilities of raising a family. This unique experience not only honed her organizational skills but also instilled a strong sense of discipline and adaptability. Her previous professional and academic experiences have cultivated a diverse skill set that has proven invaluable in her current role.
